So my first 'comission' isn't really much of a commission. We're shooting an ad for Scotiabank that features Jarome Iginla and they needed some shots of him for their annual report. I really didn't want to do it because a) I'm trying to shoot an ad, so I've got other things on my mind, and b) I don't need the pressure of delivering quality shots; I find most of my good pictures arrive by a combination of serendipity and post-processing.

But I had all my gear with me and we didn't need another person on set, so I said I'd do it. And I must say I'm quite happy with the way they turned out. Jarome, both in live action and stills, is awesome to work with. He has a great sense of what you're going for and has enough finesse to give it to you. Really photogenic as well, with a very open, easy-to-read expression.

Used my EF 28-70 f3.5-4.5 II non-USM, loud-as-a-peppermill lens on these. Love that lens.

(That's Doug Koch, our DP, in the checked shirt. He's a much better photographer than I am, of course.)
