I am a Maryland grad and a Fred Funk follower. I noticed that Fred has missed the last couple tournanments and he is not listed as a participant in the upcoming tournament in Korea. I know he hurt his thumb in the Senior Open. Does anyone have an update on his injury status?

Thanks.

Bill

The Professional Golfers' Association of America (with or without the apostrophe and also known as the PGA of America) is the world's largest working sports organization, comprised of 27,000 men and women golf Professionals who are the recognized experts in growing, teaching and managing the game of golf, while serving millions of people throughout its 41 PGA Sections nationwide. Reply-to:Hope you have time to read this 3/20/2010.  How is your recovery coming from the total knee replacement?  We both have had one on the right knee and I desperately need advice from a golfer.  Did you need to alter your twist/rotation of your right knee on the backswing?  Does it still hurt?  Are you on meds for pain?  How long before no pain per your doctor?  Have you lost distance?  What does your PT say about lunges and squats?  Thanks

Hi, Fred.

Just wanted to know what kind of surgery you are going to have on the knee you just had replaced. I had my knee replaced also, and am still having some pain on the outside. The joint seems to be fine....just wanted to know what you are doing.

Fred, you are GREAT! Congratulations on your outstanding Senior Open victory today. My wife and I met you at the Dick's Open in Endicott NY a few weeks ago.  We were volunteers on the driving range and I had the privilege and honor of talking with you on Wed. afternoon.  You were hitting balls in your bare feet due to excess rubbing oil on your feet. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation.

Since they I have won our county tournament....nice to beat the kids one more time. Watching your rythm and tempo certainly has helped my game. This week I will be playing in our senior county tournamnet.

Did you switch to a new driver from the R9 you used at the Dick's Open? You were hitting it great on the range at En Joi. If I were to switch from my R7 do you have any recommendations?

At any rate, great job this week and keep up the good work. Sure hope your knee surgery goes well and that we get to see you back here in NY. Loyal fans, Jack and Kathy Jordan, Pine Hill, NY
