that's it - I've watched 99% of Leafs Games since 1997 (even through the Kubina times) and tonight I couldn't take it anymore - esp. after Komisrek mysteriously showed up last game when we pulled the goalie???????  but tonight.... I decided to boycott watching Leaf games as long as he's playing -  watching should be an enjoyable experience - not stressing my my system!!!!!

Mike doesn't need to be run over, but he does need to go soon. I think he is as popular as Matthew Schneider was a few years ago. He needs to move somewhere to restart his final stage of his career. Short of signing him up for Battle of the Blades, he has looked like a fire hydrant that all of the big dogs just walk around. Sorry Mike it's time to go, and the goalies would be glad to pay for your ticket

NHL Star -- I Didn't Punch That Woman!

NHL all-star Mike Komisarek has told LAPD investigators he NEVER punched a woman in a Hollywood nightclub earlier this month -- and witnesses are backing his claim ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the investigation tell us multiple clubgoers who were partying near Mike and the women all seem to have the same story -- Mike never raised his fists.

However, we're told witnesses are telling officials the two seemed to be getting along in the club for a while when the Toronto Maple Leafs star picked her up off the ground ... and allegedly refused to put her down ... so she slapped him in the face.

As Mike went to put her back on the ground, witnesses say, she smacked her nose on his head ... and the woman began to bleed.

But the woman told a different story to cops -- insisting Mike punched her in the face after she slapped him ... and that's what caused her to bleed.

So far, no charges have been filed against Komisarek ... and the investigation is ongoing.

Komi has a no movement clause we can but him on waivers but can't send him to the minors without his permission. This means he i sstuck at the NHL level which is only further hurting the teams already slim playoff chances, and giving a good draft pick to boston

Okay , i have a question, HOW would she know it's him. Komisarek is not an easy name to remember after getting 'hit'. 
I believe in innocent until proven guilty. I just see her as someone looking to cash in on a hockey player. Whats with the double standard of she can smack him, but  he can't smack her (though i am in no way condoning violence)

how does that make him an asshole? if he spoke about it, he'd be in more legal trouble.

if he did it, he should definitely receive full punishment from the law and the league. that said, many things don't add up. as was mentioned, why the lapse in time? also, the lapd seems to be investigating this in an extremely casual way which leads me to think that the case against him must not be very strong. the fact of the matter is, for some people, once they realize they're interacting with a professional athlete, a dollar sign goes off in their mind. who's to say she's not trying to get free publicity and cash in on her allegations?

Hey Mike...I can't believe how bad you have become. You were actually a decent "shut down" D in Montreal. What happened? My guess is that it's one of two things: 1) The beating you took from Lucic. You know you HAVE to fight him again to get back some(not all) of the respect you lost...Question is..Do you have the GUTS to do it? 2) Maybe that other poster is correct(even though he seems illiterate!) Mike sucks big time! Look back and his game started to suffer shortly after he left that French/italien Montreal girl. His small head got the best of him, his small head and emotional stability was in check when he was with her and now they've destroyed his career! Okay, I've had enough so I'll just rant. Mike Komisarrek has to be ONE of the worst defesemen in the NHL today. I know what you're thinking. "Is this guy out of his mind?" No, I'm very sane. Komisarek always make these weak twiddler passes from defenseman to his D- partner, somethin that even I could do. Why is it always Beachy or Kaerle making those long lead passes up the neutral zone? Komisarek takes terrible chances with some of the softest hits for a big guy in the NHL, leading to an open man right in front of the net, and a goal.Komisarek always gives the puck over in his own end (watch the tapes, please). My pint: He sucks. No, really. He just does. I'm not saying he doesn't try. He just has no talent and no hockey smarts.

The worst defenseman on the Leafs. He always gives the puck up to his defesive partner to break up. He has no offensive game, pass or shot. He is soft against his checkers along the boards and when he does go for a hit, he leaves a player wide open, creating an odd man scoring oppurunity. He plays with no heart and no grit like Luke Schenn. Komisarek, for what you're making right now, you better earn it or else Burkie eill find you a new home. Guarenteed.
