It looks like his medical biller is a problem. Did you see all of those charges that he has on his account? Thats a lot but I guess that would make sense because he is a hockey player so Im sure he sees the hospital a lot of the time. I really dont know though.

weird. he doesn't participate in cut for a cure this year, but then buzzes his hair off a few days after the event

stamkos was the only good thing about the team this year

Reply-to: People might want to think about situations that arise in every single human's life. Perhaps he received emergency news about a family member. Perhaps he had a bad stomach and needed a toilet immediately Perhaps one of his children was ill. Perhaps the fact that he's had a lot of serious dental work done while still playing three rounds of playoff hockey or some other injury/ailment caused him to not be the usual Marty who does spend time with his fans.

Perhaps every single human who posts anything here might want to think about everything he/she has ever done in any given day. His paycheck has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that he is a human just like every person who posts here. If you want athletes to be perfect every single second of each and every day, please step-up and be the example for them. Obviously, they must need lessons from all those who are perfect each and every second of each and every day.

Reply-to: I'm sure he was tired, and irritable after choking and being upstaged by Horton. Still, that's no excuse. I'm sure he misses his family, but he has all summer to spend with them. He still could have greeted fans even though his children were there. He should have set a better example for them. He missed a great opportunity to do so. What he taught them instead was to be arrogant and think you're too good for the fans! Instead, he just rushes through and even pushes a few people! He's not even smiling. He couldn't take an hour, or an hour and a half like Guy Boucher did and make fans happy by greeting them? Sorry, but MSL gets paid big bucks and the least he can do is take an hour out of his life to make the people who have supported him happy. Very disappointing. Not a good role model at all.

Reply-to:Dbag cant even take the time to shake hands, sign autos and take pictures while most of the other players can. Jerk.

if you're talking about the welcome back at the airport you're ridiculous. His children were there. The players that stayed forever were the ones without families there waiting on them.

You're right, MSL is a big baby. I don't feel sorry for him, he's already won a cup. And he wasn't "Mr. Clutch" when he needed to be, that honor went to Nathan Horton!
MSL is a jerk to fans, too. He wouldn't even take pictures, sign autos or shake hands after the fans came out in support of the team. I'm sick of hearing how "classy" he is, that's BS.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on 2011-05-28T07:45:35
Hockey is an emotional game. And, if I remember correctly, Tim Thomas cried when he received the Vezina trophy two years ago. Just proves how emotion goes into these games. St. Louis and Thomas are both good hockey players.

What's wrong with MSL lately? A few assists in the last few games, but other than that, hasn't been playing up to form at all.

A group of autograph seekers said MSL just "sped by" along with Tanguay, Vinny and Stamkos. They got autos from Nitty, Malone, etal. Some "mentor" MSL is to Stammer, now he's learning to speed by and ignore the fans just like MSL.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on 2010-01-20T07:55:54

Tampa Bay's Martin St. Louis To Pittsburgh Penguins?

Preview/Prediction

March 02, 2009

A rumor that I had originally written off isn't going away and seems to be gathering steam.

Tampa Bay's Martin St. Louis is apparently the subject of talks between Penguins GM Ray Shero and his Tampa counterpart Brian Lawton.

With the instant cohesion of Jordan Staal and Chris Kunitz, who was brought in to play with Crosby, Shero is looking to add yet another winger to slot with Sidney.

There are many obstacles that have to be overcome before this rumor should gain any validity.

St. Louis has to waive his no-trade clause.
 • Pittsburgh needs to either send someone to Tampa or anywhere else (with a decent salary) to fit the remaining pro-rated salary of St. Louis.
 • Compensating Tampa Bay for the speedy winger.

While it seems these whispers will continue until 3 p.m. Wednesday I'll leave it up to you to decide to get your hopes up of Pittsburgh boosting their already recently discovered explosive offense.

Don't get me wrong, if this happens Pittsburgh will have to be considered a solid contender come playoff time. While they continue to shoot-up the standings after a prolonged slump, this addition would make the Pens a terrifying seven game matchup that can roll three lines capable of chipping in at least two goals a game.

I'm not one to get excited abput rumors and talk, but this has me pretty excited because the talk is reminiscent of the talk that preceded Hossa coming to the Burgh.

Only time will tell.
