i agree with most of your post.  and when i come on here its usually only for the purpose of talking about the player and/or their game.  i dont come on here to drool over the player and be jealous of their girlfriend or wife. yes, Alex has definetely come a long way this season, and im glad he has stayed up with the big team.  but the people on these boards do not know the players personally.  thats fantasy. 

i seriously doubt that Alex reads this board.  you would be better off sending him a letter.  i will email you the address

omg, you are to stupid to even recognize sarcasm.  i was making fun of all the people on these boards who are always saying that they know these guys, are friends with them, hang out with them, ect, ect, ect.

they're sticking up for their friend. i know some of the guys (as in i hang out with them and don't hook up with any of them) and i'd do the same thing.

just because someone's on this board, doesn't mean they don't know a player and are just looking to see if they have a girlfriend. these boards are one of the first links that pop up when you search a player's names, so get off the girl from UM's case and get a life.

Alright.. the overly long post below about Goose being a smug and snobby is completely incorrect.

I went to UM with him and we're still friends to this day because he, obviously, plays in the NHL and I work with the NHL. He's absolutely one of the nicest Penguins and would never roll his eyes if a fan asked for an autograph. He remains very humble and appriciates his time in the Show.

Oh, and by the way.. you don't need to have fans to have a career. You need to be a good player and know what you're doing in the NHL. Look at Sean Avery for Christ Sake!
