Not sure if this thread is dead or not. Watching the titans bears preseason. Hester dropping balls left and right. Apparently (says commentator) the titans were going to draft him but the bears did first. Instead they drafted lendale white. I'll take that fat tubbo over captain captain droppo even though he can't even find work in the NFL any more. That in conjunction with his massively overpaid contract is why.... Devin Hester sucks!!!

Devin Hester Twitters He's Expecting a Baby Boy: A New Cub for the Chicago Bear

Chicago Bears player Devin Hester is expecting a new born son in the near future.

Hester announced on Twitter today, “Man I'm at the doctor checkin on my soon to be new born baby boy and he is just kickin so much now!!!!!”

Devin Hester is a wide receiver and return specialist for the Chicago Bears.  He is an alumnus of the University of Miami, where he became the first person in the university’s recent history to play on all three teams of American football (offense, defense, special teams).

Congratulations on your  New Cub Devin.

LAKE FOREST —
The Bears haven’t had a 1,000-yard receiver in seven years.

The Cardinals had three last year alone, and Larry Fitzgerald added another 546 yards in the playoffs.

“You’ve got one of those guys or you don’t have one of those guys,” Bears quarterback Jay Cutler said. “It’s kind of cut and dried. We don’t have Larry Fitzgerald on this team. We’ve got Devin and Earl and some other guys. We’re going to make it work with them.”

It’s cut and dried with Arizona, which plays the Bears (4-3) Sunday. It was also that way in Denver last year when Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal caught 2,245 yards worth of Cutler passes.

But it remains up in the air in Chicago.

That’s a good thing. Two of Chicago’s three receivers hadn’t caught a pass before this season. The third was a still-raw converted kick returner. But Devin Hester, Earl Bennett and rookie fifth-round pick Johnny Knox have all exceeded expectations.

“We’re fine in that area,” Cutler said. “We’ve got three or four very reliable, if not above average, guys who can go out there and make things happen.

“They are a young group. That’s maybe the only fault, but they are not playing like they are young.”

Hester seldom gets credit from critics for being a No. 1 receiver, but is on pace to have 1,038 yards this year. He’s also been at his best when Chicago needed him most. Cutler has thrown to Hester 11 times on third down, with Hester catching eight of them and all eight producing first downs. That 72.7-percent rate is tied for third in the NFL.

“Devin has been an all-around receiver,” offensive coordinator Ron Turner said. “He’s catching the ball well on third down. He’s catching the ball in traffic. He’s catching the ball inside and outside. We’ve got to continue to get him the ball.”

Hester ranks 21st in the NFL with 454 yards. That’s only 55 yards fewer than the All-Pro Fitzgerald. And the Cardinals have thrown 25 times more to Fitzgerald (72) than the Bears have to Hester (45).

“He hasn’t been at the position long enough to have perfected it yet, but he gets a little bit closer each week,” coach Lovie Smith said. “One thing we’ve always known is Devin is special with his hands on the ball. He is a No. 1 receiver.”

Bennett and Knox are also still developing. Knox had 152 yards his first two games, but hasn’t topped 45 yards since. Still, with 310 yards on 24 catches, he’s on track to have one of the best rookie receiving seasons in team history.

“I always thought I could do well in this league,” Knox said. “I’m just getting put in the right positions at the right time to do this early in my career.”

Bennett (334 yards on 25 catches) has seven catches of at least 20 yards, only three off the NFL lead, after being labeled a possession receiver.

“I’m just making plays,” Bennett said. “That’s what it comes down to, whether it’s a 40-yard gain or a 10-yard gain. As long as you are moving the chains, it’s pretty cool. A lot of people label me as a possession receiver. Whatever I’m given is cool. I just try to prove people wrong.”

All three are proving people wrong so far. A year after no Bear receiver had 700 yards, the Bears went younger and have all three receivers on pace to top that mark.

“Johnny, Devin and me, we just try to make plays when our number is called,” Bennett said. “Each one of us feels like we belong here. That’s how we play. We play with confidence.”

Gimpy Hester still expects to play Sunday vs. Cardinals

November 5, 2009

Wide receiver Devin Hester limped around the practice field Wednesday at Halas Hall, but he vowed to be on the field Sunday, when the Bears host the Arizona Cardinals.

Hester suffered a sprained ankle near the end of the victory over the Cleveland Browns, and he could be back on the field today.

''I'm all right,'' Hester said. ''I'm going to play.''

Whether Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin will play remains to be seen. He missed practice Wednesday with a sprained right ankle that has been hobbling him for nearly a month. He re-aggravated the injury Sunday in the loss to the Carolina Panthers.

Coach Lovie Smith had hoped to have Hester (who appeared to be walking gingerly Thursday) back on the practice field Thursday, so what Hester does (or doesn't do) Friday will go a long way in determining his chances of being out there Sunday against the Cardinals.

Arizona (4-3) at Chicago (4-3) Currently: Chicago, IL Temp: 46° F Game info: 1:00 pm EST Sun Nov 8, 2009TV: FOX Add to Calendar | Buy Tickets By ALAN FERGUSON, STATS Writer Nov 4, 3:49 pm EST Preview | Box Score | Recap Buzz up! 1 Print The Arizona Cardinals suffered a stunning, nationally televised collapse in their last matchup with the Chicago Bears, which turned out to be a key victory in Chicago’s run to the Super Bowl. Neither team has looked primed for a lengthy playoff run of late, but the Cardinals return to Soldier Field on Sunday with a one-game lead in the NFC West and looking to win four straight on the road for the first time in 27 years. The teams last met in a Monday night game in Week 6 of the 2006 season, as the unbeaten Bears visited a struggling Arizona club. The Cardinals, though, led 23-3 early in the fourth quarter as Chicago quarterback Rex Grossman(notes) committed six turnovers. ADVERTISEMENT The Bears rallied to win 24-23, getting a pair of defensive touchdowns and Devin Hester’s(notes) 83-yard punt return for a score with less than three minutes left. The Cardinals (4-3) made their own run to the Super Bowl last season, but have been inconsistent in 2009 after losing to Pittsburgh in the final minute of the title game. Arizona had its three-game winning streak snapped last week with a mistake-filled 34-21 loss to visiting Carolina. The Cardinals failed to extend their division lead over San Francisco, which has lost three in a row.

A player is a player, no matter if they are famous or not, a starter or not, nice or not.  It's either yes or no if someone has or does not have a girlfriend and anything on the side is playing.  I highly doubt these people are honest with their "serious girlfriend, fiance, wife, ..." that they are sleeping with other people, and I highly doubt these people are honest with the girls on the side.  When will people realize you can play on the field, but playing off the field just isn't cool.  Playing with people's emotions causes way more pain than a tackle does.

if you are talking about marcus Harrison he definetly has a chittown girlfriend! A model/video chick that was pregnant with his baby recently and she is dying I don't know from what but she is sick! She is a really cute girl and he loves her but I know for a fact that she is using him! Though Marc was smart

Please don't be evasive. He denys everything and anyone. I just want to know the truth so I can move on. I have something very personal that I don't want to share on this site, but you should bc you are involved with him too

I think you should have some respect for yourself, me and his girlfriend.... Obviously we play the same role. I'd like to talk to you, I am not trying to be rude or fight, just very upsetting when you find out something isn't the way you thought. Please call me.
