On top of everything else, CP is just stupid, real stupid.  Amazingly stupid for a 7-year vet, or is it 8.  He makes mistakes you wouldn't expect a rookie QB to make, he's regressed not physically but mentally.  All the killer pick 6s are the sign of a stupid qb.  The horrible time mgt skills, remember the end of the 1st halp against the Panthers, or the end of the Saints game when he's trying to line up a spike with 10 seconds left and one time out.  An 8th grade middle school kid could time manage these situations better than CP.  Yes his arm is dead.  Yes he can't move.  Yes his baby brother wouldn't be given a sniff by any other team in the league but somehow is the backup which means there's nobody to threaten CP into thinking he may be benched this year.  However, mentally he's an absoute moron in terms of nfl qb knowledge.  The Bengals are 2-11 with a team that is supposedly loaded with offensive talent.  Palmer, more than anyone, is responsible for this mess.  I hope the Browns kill the Bengals tomorrow, and I'm a Bengals fan.  At this point, I want them to fail, it's our only hope for Brown to realize to blow this thing up after the season.  Trade Palmer for a 4th or 5th round pick, draft a qb with th first pick, pick-up a real vet qb that's serviceable for a year or two.  How much more does Brown need to see to realize CP is done.

All need to go...is time for a fresh start...I've seen the o line hold plenty of times and carson still throw into triple coverage or never audible out of a run if a blitz is being shown. Palmer's biggest problem is the his cement feet, even the other pocket passers ( Manning, Brady and Brees) move up and around in the pocket. Whenever the Steelers need to stop the Bengals they just dial up blitz and cement feet is bull rushed ..it is pathetic. You want to beat Pitt...keep their D on the field for awhile like last season, they are all getting older and sustaining the energy is hard to do over 6 to 8 minute drives. I think MIKE BROWN SUCKS, he has no command over his team. Look at what the dallas cowboys owner did to their head coach, he's looking for a job right now. At his best, he was just ok.  How many "weapons" does he need?  HE has to be the weapon.  You're doing any QB a disservice claiming they need to have the best receivers, offensive line, rushers, coaches, etc to be successful.  The great ones overcome weaknesses and still manage to win.  Palmer doesn't.  It's time accept the truth.

His career has really been affected by the knee injury in the playoff game vs. Pittsburgh a few years ago.  He's recovered physically but not mentally, it seems and hasn't ever again shown the promise he did before that.  I understand people wanting to be loyal to their QB but to say he's "still one of the best" is just nonsense.
