KURT LOOBY have signed a contract with basketball team the EnBW Ludwigsburg of Germany for the 2011-2012 season. Kurt Looby is a defense and rebound specialist big man that played for DASH Peristeri GS of Greece last season.

Kurt Looby signs with Greece European Team

Kurt will be taking his skills and talent to Euro team the Peristeri of Greece this season. This will be his first year overseas in Europe. The NBA/D-League Maine Redclaw sensation will meet the challenge and show the NBA that he means business. Looby played on three teams last season after asking for a trade from the Rio Grande Valley "Vipers" to Albuquerque "Thunderbirds" of the D-League for limited time on court. Kurt's defense has been outstanding through it all. Looby was awarded with All D-League Honorable mention for 2009 season as a rookie.

Kurt Looby of the NBA-D League Maine Red Claws finish the season with a average of 5.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 3.1 blocked shots. Looby set a new NBA/D League record block shots of 166 for the season. Record his second triple-double in the league and came close to Defensed player of the year. Looby is in Puerto Rico played for Mets de Guaynabo in the BSN league were he was last season block-shot leader.

Since Kurt Looby arriver to D-League team Albuquerque Thunderbirds, they have moved to third place behind the Rio Granda "Vipers" in the West Conference and won 6 straight games. Looby record his second triple-double in the D-League.

On December 30, "Looby" has been trading from the Rio Granda Valley "Vipers" to Albuquerque"Thunderbirds" team. Kurt time on the court were limited due to Houston Rockets player Joey Dorsey at the 5 position. The Houston Rockets runs the Vipers head office and "Looby" had no chance of increase time on court. "Looby" is ready to help the "Thundersbirds" in the paint.!!!

D-League Select Kurt Looby played a decent game against Portland Trailblazer's with 3-5 shooting for 7 points, 5 rebounds, two block shots in 18 minutes off the bench and a great defensive inbound play that won the game with 1.5 seconds left in game.
