I saw Seun Kuti and the Egypt 80 in concert tonight and was pretty blown away. Dude is Fela’s youngest son and is my age (26); seeing him play kinda makes me feel the same way when I see Gilbert Arenas. lol. Anyway, Seun played with his dad’s band when he was 9 and has taken the responsibility of leading the band up again. Not sure what Femi Kuti thinks about all of this. Regardless, I recommend checking him out if he’s playing near you and hope that he and Wale get to work together. Jul |

You have to give Elton Brand credit. He and his team have demonstrated some Presidential-quality message discipline. Without ever conveying arrogance or entitlement, Elton has been able to express to the press, the Clippers organization, and the Naçion that he very much wants to stay, all the while very specifically dictating the terms of his doing so.
