I still stand by my statement, that Childress wants all his resources in the grandkids. The Harvicks were pushed out of Truck and Nationwide so they wouldn't compete against the Dillion brothers. The baby gives Delana something to do since the Harvicks either cannot or will not race against the Dillion brothers. The Harvicks have better teams than Childress and that puts family against outsiders.

Harvick gets to keep his job awhile longer and Clint became the odd man out. When Austin Dillion comes to Cup next year, Jeff Burton will retire so Childress can continue to consentrate his resources on two cars. Childress is more successful focusing with an A car and a B car. Anything larger and all the cars suffer. Childress wants the 3 back in victory lane and it will be Austin Dillion driving it.

That is how NASCAR really works. Deal.

Wow you got something completely different out of the article. 

1.  It was written before the Harvick's announced Delana was pregnant and it was theory surrounding why they were closing their doors

2.  It went on to explain that it made sense since Clint was reported to be leaving and the #33 would shut down, which it did.  Childress had other places for his employees to work at

3.  Yes, having a NW team for Austin and eventually Ty to come into is what many of the "families" in NASCAR have done in the past and are doing.

4.  If you explored the time the Harvicks spent on their company with all the truck and NW series; you would know that it was Delana that spent a huge portion of her time there making things go.  She does have a racing background in her family.  I'm sure they had many conversations about keeping it going, but they (my opinion) realized that the work would be too much for Delana and if Kevin wants to win that cup championship, he has to move his efforts to the cup.  I'm not putting Delana down, quite the opposite, but priorities change when a child is involved. 

Bottom line they were not pushed out, they opted out, which is a big difference; to  focus on family and Kevins' cup.

You must feel like an idot now that you know exactly what went on with the purchasing of the KHI stuff.  Delana didn't get kicked out of NASCAR by Childress, she is pregnant and that is where her focus needs to be.  Too much stress trying to keep the trucks and NW rides going, being that they spent all their time at the shop.  Not now, it's baby time.

Hey it's I think it's great that you want to play "Susie Homemaker" and I wish you all the best.  Maybe things will work out for you and you will get engaged at Christmas, BUT if I were you I'd sleep with one eye open. 

About a year ago I was with a group of friends outside a restaurant one night and we were talking to a couple and someone in our group realized it was Athena.  (NO I am NOT a friend of Athena's, I don't know her at all. This was just a very casual conversation.) Anyway as the conversation went on, one of the girls asked her about Clint and she said she still talked with him about once a week.  Like I said, this was about a year ago and I'm sure if you guys are that open you are well aware of all of this and it's probably not happening anymore.
