Look, Brian Ching is not a quality player. Defending him by saying that he has excelled with Houston, brings no credibility to the discussion, as MLS as a whole is not quality football (that's just a reality). It is in fact a second rate league; quality players in the states for the most part go overseas. Look at Klinsmens roaster, nearly all players called up, play somewhere other than MLS. Bottom line, Ching is a second rate footballer with little skill compared to top form players and leagues (i.e. La Liga, EPL, Serie A, Bundesliga).

I have watched Brian Ching for four years now.  His first two years in Houston he was pretty good, but he was still in his twenties.  Since he's turned thirty he has completely fallen off the map talent wise.  I've watched him play live at least sixty times over those four years and the difference in his motor is very noticeable.  I watched him loaf around the middle third of the pitch for 80 minutes last night against Columbus and spend 8 of the other 10 minutes in an offside position.

Ching is a great dude off the field, but his time is over.  Transfer him to San Jose where he can be a little closer to home and he can catch some tastey waves.  I'm done with this guy.

I'm sorry but all of you guys are complete and total idiots, the ones bashing Ching and the rest of the national team that is.

Ching was never given a proper stiker partner so how the hell do you expect him to score? He works his butt off and takes all the lumps from the opponents defense, so he doesn't have time to score, but he still creates chances for others, like the one he made for Dempsey in the Cuba game. Notice how as soon as Jozy and Ching are paired, the USA starts scoring, and Ching is involved in Altidore's first goal against El Salvador( laying the ball off to Hejduk on the wing, who crossed to Altidore) and his first goal against Trinidad and Tobago( flicking the ball on to Donovan, who played the ball across to Altidore). Donovan and Dempsey don't count as strike partners because they each drop into the midfield when they're played up top, leaving Brian Ching alone up top to do the dirty work of dealing with the physicality of the defense. With Ching doing the dirty work, and Donovan commanding the midfield, who is going to score the goals? The USA put off this question until Altidore really started blooming and the competition got better. Pairing them together worked until Ching's injury, which meant Altidore was either paired with someone else, or alone up top. Ching is a great player in my opinion. I say, F this site.

Brian Ching most certainly does not suck! Obviously that post was made by an armchair cowboy. Not only is he a talented soccer player - he reaches out to the community via The House that Ching Built. He also spent 30 minutes out of a very busy Saturday to go by and meet some of his teenage fans who drove from Florida to see him play. Yeah. That does not equate SUCKS to me. If you say he SUCKS - either you suck or you don't know what you are talking about. FLORIDA SOCCER MOM

Ching and DeMarcus Beasley are absolutely pathetic, as well as beckerman....in fact, nearly the entire US team is crap; a bunch of second rate hacks who couldn't make it overseas... The only worth while players are donovan, bradley, dempsey and howard...the rest over-rated crap shots....

brian ching is useless...yeah he scores....but alot of games ive watched him play in (USA and Dynamo) he doesnt score when the pressure is on. a true striker will come thru when most needed. ching doesnt perform when he's needed MOSt..bottom line

Brian Ching is the most overrated USA player to date. He has no heart, he is lazy and slower then molases sliding down a frozen pole in antartica.

He has done nothing but take up a spot in Houston, denying real talent to play.

Kineer knows he sucks, but he thinks he brings a crowd. Grow some balls coach and transfer his worthless ass, ill take Jaqua over him any day.
