He was sent back to Fresno for AAA, they brought him up for the ceremony but since he is not technically on the team he couldn't wear the full uni hence the jeans
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on 2011-04-11T21:54:48
Where is he now why did he wear jeans during the ring ceremony

I can't begin to tell you how much I hate the expression "God fearing."  It goes along with the most hateful forms of "Christianity."  Jesus Christ preached mercy, not fear.  And what the hell does any of it have to do with Travis Ishikawa and his baseball career?  Nothing.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on 2011-04-01T22:53:13
Lol some people can't handle what others have been blessed with. She and Travis have worked hard to build a God fearing family and I admire them for that. Their faith in Him will get them through the unknown. -LF

Will Ishikawa make the roster this year? http://www.goldengategiants.com/2011/03/99-problems-and-roster-spot-is-one.html
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on 2011-02-14T02:33:36
The Ishikawa's are my neighbors. They're great people. Normal, nice, quiet, polite, and humble.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on 2010-11-09T14:21:25
Yeah, well there's no guarantee where Travis will be next season.  He might be traded to another team in another city, he might be optioned to Fresno, or he will be sitting on the bench again for the Giants and earning major league mininum, which is around $400,000 per year.  Not chicken feed, but by the time you pay taxes and expenses for a family in a place like the Bay Area, it's not a lot.  Good luck to Nate and his family.  I personally don't see a lot to be jealous of, that's not an easy life.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on 2010-11-09T13:03:48
Sounds to me like the woman who's son goes to her school is just a little jealous of what she has. She's a classy one!!! Don't hate just because your life isn't as good.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on 2010-11-09T12:53:19
Ummm if i do recall the orignal post called Travis's wife a bitch first. Cant blame someone for sticking up for a friend who is innocent in all of this garbage. I'm sure if someone was talking shit about you or a friend on a public forum...you would be mad too.

Reply-to:Please! You act like you never said a bad word in your life. All you girls need to get a man and stop worrying about someone elses

There's a big difference between using a bad word and using insulting phrases like "ugly ass bitch" towards posters here.  Why are you here if you're insulting people who are also here?  Also, any woman who calls other women phrases like that has zero class.  It doesn't speak well at all of that woman, or any woman who is friends with such a woman.

I was in Costco Danville today (four days after the World Series) and had just purchased a  Giants World Series magazine. A gentleman pointed to a young man with a family and said 'that is Travis Ishikawa'. I asked Travis to autograph the magazine to my grandson. He graciously signed it and could not have been more pleasant.

His wife and children did not seem bothered by the interruption. In fact, they naturally seemed quite proud of the attention.

My grandson will be thrilled and it will all due to this fine young man taking time for an older fan.

May God bless him and his family.

I would think living in Danville on major league minimum salary can't be easy.

aww he seemed like such a sweetheart on all the interviews, it did seem really out of character for him to have a kid at 17, i love that he adopted him, now i <3 him even more lol!
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on 2009-08-18T14:55:47
It is not his son biologically, it is Rochelle's son from a previous relationship. However Travis is an amazing, Christian man and has adopted Isaiah and views/treats him as his own. They are a wonderful family
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on 2009-08-18T14:10:25
he said it was his son, and it's listed as his, i mean there's the possibilty he says it's his son and it's not biological, but i doubt it, it has said he had a son b4 he was married, so i'm thinkin it's his biologically
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on 2009-08-05T03:18:28

"his son is not his biological child "

so the son is his wife's and not his biologically?

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on 2009-08-05T02:54:10
so he had a kid at 18?  and another daughter with his wife now. interesting.

Anonymous (Sophomore) wrote on 2009-07-27T11:54:41

he did have a kid in high school this article says his wife gave birth to their second child, so it is his son that was born in 2001 (his sf giants profile says it too)

I never dated him but we were good friends...he's married now to Rochelle...her name my middle name.  I remember the phone call I got from him when he said he'd started dating someone new and that her name was easy to remember because it was my middle name.  Travis and I worked together and became good friends...when I moved to LA he'd visit during his batting practice as his hitting coach was down south.  I promised him I'd catch him in a game after missing him one year at spring training...when I went he acted like he didn't even know me...the reason being he's then girlfriend Rochelle.  She had her claws in deep as she should with a son to worry about...but not a complete gold digger as Travis told me she worked as a Dental Hygenist.  I lost a friend...SUCKS.

That doesn't matter. Theres an article he wrote on a website i found. It was a journal. And he talked about how all he likes to do is spend time with his fiance (at the time) and his son. He is also a christian.
