You want a reason why he sucks? Just 5 minutes ago he comes out of the bullpen with a 2 run lead. First batter he gets an 0-2 count then gives up a base hit. Next batter another 0-2 count but gives up another base hit. The next batter het gets another 2 strikes on but gives up ANOTHER base hit and now the Phillies only have a 1 run lead. Next batter Charlies Manuel gives the signal for an intentional walk. But guess what happens te next at bat. ANOTHER base hit which ties the game at 4. Zimmerman is up at the plate and Madson throws a first pitch ball. By thus time I was about to throw in the towel but I couldn't help but watch Madson's further embarresment. Next pitch was a foul; then a ball; then a foul; then another ball to make it a full count. Remember the bases are loaded with Zimmerman 1 ball away from winning. Oh, but Zimmerman doesn't want to get a walk of walk. Oh no no no. Madson decided that if he was going to lose, why not lose by 4 more runs. Yes Ryan Madson gave up a walk off Grand Slam in the Bottom of the 9th inning with only getting 1 out and entering the inning with a 2 run lead! I'm not saying get rid of Ryan Madson, but seriously get him the hell of the closer spot and make him a damn reliever. Brad Lidge pitched a 7 pitch inning in the 7th and he was out most of the season. If you're reading this Ryan GTFO.

Ryan Madson is married. I met his wife at one of the ALS Fundraisers, and she is very pretty, nice, and extremely down-to-earth! I also have a friend who saw them with their daughter and twin sons at Lamberti's one night. She spoke with them...and they were terrific!

The Phils bullpen sucked last year and they've done nothing to fix it. MADSON BLOWS!!! They need to trade some offense and get relievers now if they want to compete. Starting pitching beyond Halliday is shakey at best. Hamels is a head case

I am a huge Phillies fan but Ryan Madson Sucks... He's not a closer and should not even be playing in the MLB. Every time he comes in to save a game, I change it. I hope the Phillies get rid of him.

how do you throw that crap, walking Chipper and when you have 2 outs, throwing a meatball up there that I could hit, and then throwing another one, to a rookie, letting him getting his hands extended, way to blow it, with 2 outs, throw him stuff they roll over, not stuff over the plate, come on, ridiculous pitching , a 15 yr old pitcher knows not to throw those pitches, get with it.
