Jason has missed a week of Spring Training because he's with his 7-year-old daughter, who was seriously hurt in a bicycle accident last week. It's unknown how much longer he'll be away but he's expected to be with the team when the season opens on April 6. Right now his daughter is his top priority, and the Twins aren't pressuring him to return sooner than he wants to.

Hopefully Jason does better in Minnesota.

I've always admired Jason's game.  Sure, it's easy to criticize his pitching but you can't criticize the guy's heart.  He puts everything he has into each and every start.  I was really impressed with his overall ability as a baseball player.  He plays the game the way it was meant to be played.  He can hit, field, and run the bases  better than most National League pitchers that I've seen.   I wish him the best of luck in Colorado, he'll just have to try his best to keep his pitches down and not to leave them hanging in the zone.  He does that and I'm sure he'll have a pretty successful season.
----Wish I knew the guy who left the "stupid Jew" comment...  Ignorant bastard!

As a longtime friend of Jason, from his hometown, I have to say I can't believe the negativity towards him, for no good reason.  YES, he is married-HAPPILY.  NO, he does NOT cheat.  Easy to throw accusations in an anonymous forum.  He is what he is-a No. 5 starter, and he's HARDLY the reason the Cubs can't get to, much less win a World Championship.  Blame your ownership, management, and 1-8 hitters for that.
