Kelsey's hair looks darker. That photo doesn't do her justice.

They're both two very nice people. He has always been very mature - even when he was down in Pawtucket. Very classy guy. Low key but nice to everyone. We're lucky to have them. He does a lot for RSN on and off the field.

Todays Inside Track talks about Will Middlebrooks, Pawsox guy filling in for Youk while he's injured. He will probably be Red Sox future third baseman. Will is also very very nice and his gf is also really pretty. I can see Will and gf Ann doing a lot for charity also.

Reply-to:We get it. You dont like Jacoby Ellsbury. Not a big deal. Why the argumentative tone? Just do a google search of Jacoby Ellsbury MVP candidate and you will see all kinds of legitimate sources firmly believing that he is a substantive candidate for AL MVP. ESPN. Peter Gammons. If he wins it - great. If he doesnt win it - do we really care? Probably not. Were going to love him either way. Hes a member of the 30-30 club and thats downright tremendous.Lots of people know baseball but an important part of that knowledge is being informed. Jacobys stock greatly increased after his performance in New York. Thats where the MVP talk is especially coming from. Why put an insult in there? Like people on this board dont know baseball. Insulting people is a good way to ruin your credibility.

I totally agree with u i will love jacoby ellsbury and i always will

From Boston.com -

Ellsbury spoke to reporters today for the first time since he injured his right shoulder on Friday.

Holding his right arm at an angle and pressed up against his chest, Ellsbury repeated the same themes several times:

1. He is icing the shoulder to get the swelling out.

2. Once the swelling subsides, he can start exercises.

3. There is no timetable.

4. Everybody is on the same page.

Elllsbury was injured trying to break up a double play. Rays shortstop Reid Brignac landed on him, causing a subluxation (or partial dislocation) of his shoulder.

"I looked at it one time and once was enough for me. Just kind of wanted to see exactly what happened. I had a pretty good understanding," Ellsbury said. "You’ve got to stay positive. There’s never a good time for an injury. I’ll definitely be back playing. The team, as of late, has been playing great. I’m excited for them to continue to play well.”

Ellsbury confirmed that surgery will not be needed.

"We ruled it out. As of right now, I’m focused on getting my work in and getting back as soon as possible," he said. "I’ll be playing this year, hopefully sooner than later."

Ellsbury said there has not been any discussion about where he would do the bulk of his rehab work. In 2010, when he suffered fractured ribs, Ellsbury left the team for several weeks and rehabbed at a private facility near his home in Arizona.

Ellsbury has not yet had a follow-up examination of his shoulder. Once the swelling goes down, doctors should be able to get a better idea of his condition.

Ellsbury was in a sling this morning when he attended a Dunkin’ Donuts event at Fenway Park.

PLUS - the Inside Track asked him about marriage and he was, as usual, completely tightlipped about it. They are just very private people and that is nice.

From today's Boston.Com

By Monday, the swelling in Jacoby Ellsbury’s partially dislocated right shoulder should have dissipated enough for the Red Sox to conduct a follow-up examination to determine the full extent of the damage.

The results could determine how avidly the Red Sox pursue a trade.

Major league sources say that general manager Ben Cherington has been investigating what outfielders are available on the market.

The Cubs are willing to move Marlon Byrd and the Athletics likely would part with Coco Crisp. But financial concerns could come into play.

Byrd, 34, is making $6.5 million this season while Crisp is signed through 2013 at $14 million.

Byrd, a righthanded hitter, hit .276 last season with a .719 OPS. If Ellsbury is going to miss several months, Byrd could become attractive to the Red Sox.

But if Ellsbury will be out only 6-8 weeks, the Red Sox could slide by with Cody Ross in center field and Darnell McDonald getting more at-bats than expected in left field.

The Red Sox put in a waiver claim on Detroit outfielder Clete Thomas, who instead went to the Twins.

Ellsbury has not been made available to reporters since he was injured Friday.

----------The A's are paying Coco Crisp $14 mil through 2013. Wow.

Reply-to:Well I know she has run it before. But given the circumstances,  she probably would want to stay with Jacoby during this time. He probably has a lot of drs appointments, tests, xrays, etc. going on, and she would probably want to be there with him for that. At least thats my guess.

That's my guess too and she can come back and run it next year - no registering over again or questions asked - b/c it is going to be so hot. He is likely to encourage her to run though. Don't the wives run for charities? or at least the Red Sox Foundation? (I'm not sure.)

Reply-to:BTW - Boston Marathon tomorrow. Wonder if the wives will be running. Its supposed to be well into the eighties and Boston Athletics Association has told people that if they are not used to running marathons or are not in top condition, they can sit it out and will be included in the 2013 marathon. With Jacobys injury, I wonder if Kelsey will miss the marathon.

the whole thing is just too bad. two years ago, he was badly injured. had a great comeback year in 2011. receives his Golden Glove at the ceremony. gets badly injured again.

Hopefully Carl Crawford is close to coming back. And here's hoping that he is the Carl Crawford who played for the Rays. That version of him was excellent.

Sox called up infielder Nate Spears. He is a really nice guy. Married a little over a year. Just a sweetheart and he is so conscientious. Very good skills and works really hard.

They also called up Jason Repko who is 31 and a seasoned Major Leaguer. Let's hope he can pull us through for now. He is right handed though and we need left handed bats.

Ryan Kalish would be great if he weren't still injured. Out a year with his shoulder and neck. At least he's a lefty.

HELPING HANDS: Jacoby Ellsbury gets...

From NECN.com

A report by WEEI.com said that Ellsbury may have suffered either a subluxation or dislocation of the shoulder, which would sideline him for a period of six-to-eight weeks.

Ellsbury was attempting to break up a double play in the fourth inning of the Sox' 12-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays when Rays shortstop Reid Brignac landed on the outfielder's shoulder.

"He was breaking on the pitch,'' said Brignac. "I was holding my ground. I just caught (the throw) and got rid of it like every infielder does in that situation. We leave our feet because when people are trying to take you out and your feet are stuck in ground, that's how people break knees and ankles and stuff.

"We're taught to catch, throw and get off our feet. Unfortunately, I fell on his shoulder. It was just an uncontrollable circumstance.''

Upended, Brignac recalled his "butt and back landing on him and I just rolled over. It was basically on top of the bag. As soon as I landed on him, I knew something wasn't right...I could hear him and it sounded like a very painful thing. I kind of landed on him, rolled off. He was yelling and screaming a little bit.''

Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine and a trainer sprinted out to the middle of the infield to check on Ellsbury and Valentine said Ellsbury was "in a lot of pain when I got there.''

He sat up after a few minutes and walked off the field, holding his right arm to his side gingerly. He was later taken to Massachusetts General Hospital for further evaluation.

"I'm prepared for someone to get here (Saturday to give the Sox another outfielder),'' said Valentine.

Che-Hsuan Lin was removed from the Pawtucket lineup Friday night, an indication that he will be promoted to Boston.

But even before Ellsbury's injury took place, Valentine said the Sox probably didn't need a 13th pitcher on the staff anymore, allowing them to add a fourth bench player.

Conceivably, that means the Sox could add two position players Saturday if Ellsbury, as expected, needs to be placed on the disabled list.

Among the options: Jason Repko, who might have made the team as a non-roster invitee in spring training had the Sox not gone north with 13 pitchers; Lars Anderson, who would provide a lefty bat off the bench, and who recently has begun getting some playing time in the outfield; and Pedro Ciriaco, who had a terrific spring and has the athleticism -- if not the experience -- to fill in in the outfield when necessary.

yeah i read that too. and in another article, there was something about how his mom let the word slip about him and kelsey breaking up. way to go mommy.

haha lol. well put. and i heard a while ago like back in july that they broke up. ever since she stopped going to games things went downhill, but he has been seen once with a short haired girl who was proved not to be kelsey because a pic of her was taken at the same time and her hair was long. she was not with jacoby in the pic either maybe he's single...
