| Maybe the willingness to be dishonest to get what you want is one of the traits that attracted Brian to his "girlfriend?" |

| I guess I should add that when he stops pitching for the Giants, whenever that is, I will really miss him. |

Brian said in his most recent press interview, that he needs to be protected from himself. I agree, because he does things to extremes. If Brian is too thin, it's going to slow his healing. Timmy is also too thin, and we are seeing its effects. He's running out of energy quite dramatically, in the 4th innings of his starts. This is taken from the article, Why Is Being Underweight Bad? which explains why body fat is important... The reason that storing fat is useful is that it means we have a back up store of energy and the body can then burn those fat cells in order to release the glucose and ATP we need to perform our bodily functions. Someone who is underweight will not have this fat to burn and so they will quickly run out of energy. This is more serious than you might think as in order to keep going the body will then 'cannibalise' itself and burn other tissue for fuel such as muscle mass. This then means that an underweight person is likely to have a low skeletal muscle as it will be constantly burned for energy. This weakness will then mean they are unable to perform basic tasks and will also leave them more prone to accident and injury (muscles help to keep us balanced and also add a protective layer to defend against impacts). You might think that you don't need these extra stores of energy if you're not planning on going running at all or doing any other marathon endurance events. However this is ignoring the fact that the body needs energy to perform all its normal tasks and even when you're sleeping or motionless the body will burn fat stores in order to give it energy to maintain your immune system, or to make repairs and heal wounds etc. If your body doesn't have the energy to perform these tasks however then this will leave your body vulnerable with a weaker immune system and will mean that wounds heal more slowly and you are slower to recover from illness as well as more vulnerable to getting ill in the first place. |
| On a different note. . I'm sure he's excited about his celtics getting this far and making it to the conference finals :) I'm personally a spurs fan tho ;) |
Reply-to:AAt the beginning of last season, Wilson supposedly had body fat of 7 1/2 percent. |

I got this off LetsTalkPitching.com Gene Coleman in 52-Week Baseball Training wrote: The average pro player, from class A to the major leagues, is about six feet tall, weighs 190 lbs, and is 11 percent fat. Young players are usually lighter and leaner than older players are. Body weight, muscle mass, and strength increase with age and maturity. Height remains relatively constant...As a group pitchers (six feet one inch tall) are about two inches taller than catchers and one and a half inches taller than infielders and outfielders. Pitchers and catchers (190-200 pounds) are slightly heavier than other players are. Infielders (180 to 185 pounds) are the lightest players and have the least amount of muscle mass. Outfielders on average weigh 185 to 190 pounds and have the lowest relative body fat. Pitchers are 12.3 percent fat, catchers are 11.5 percent fat, infielders are 9.4 percent fat, and outfielders are 8.4 percent fat. Gene Coleman goes to talk on about how you should keep your body fat under 12%, and if you are a position player, under 10%, but no less than 8% body fat. Why? Well because the more weight you carry on your body, the slower you will end up being. The less agile you are, flexible you are, etc. Yet under 8% you are walking the line that you don't want to cross. Fat can be good on the body, but not too much, not too little. |
| It would be nice if he would tweet to his fans more. Since when has Brian been at a loss for words? His website has been dormant for a long time too. |
|
Brian could take a lesson from Panda, who is regularly tweeting updates on his condition... In 140-character dribs and drabs, Pablo Sandoval is keeping everyone apprised of his rehab through Twitter. On Friday he said he took 50 swings with a regular bat left-handed and 25 right-handed. He also is taking grounders and throwing to first and second base. The bigger question of when Sandoval will rejoin the Giants he cannot answer, but manager Bruce Bochy tackled it. "He's getting better," Bochy said. "We're probably looking at a couple of weeks if all goes well and there are no setbacks, which is good news for us." |

Yes, you can be too thin. This article suggests that Timmy needs to bulk up... Tim Lincecum starts off well, and then ... Henry Schulman Saturday, May 26, 2012 Hey, Dreamzy, sorry to hear about the layoff. Hope you get a better job that pays more. |
| He might have a hard time maintaining his skinny body while he is restricted in his usual extreme exercise routine due to his rehab. |
|
Oh, he looks ok. And if he's comfortable at that weight then that's all that matters. Sorry ladies but I'm so over it, but I still like all if you!!! #catnip |
| Not too skinny in that picture, but does not need to lose any more weight. Does not look like he has anymore spare fat to lose. |
Reply-to:..... I wonder if his lady love cuts his tshirts for him. Don't you just want to finish the job and rip it off his body? |
|
Geez, that Pat Burrell seems like one classy guy. I hope MY daughter marries one just like him. Cleaning up vomit off the bathroom floor, Yours Truly, #catnip |
| For the record its kinda a crime that the pat burrell board is closed because I am pretty sure someone somewhere is looking to add to the iteniary of Pat http://www.crossingbroad.com/2012/05/weve-obtained-pictures-of-pat-burrell-day-drinking-and-grabbing-a-girls-breast-in-northern-liberties.html weekend in Philly |
| Brian in a beasties shirt has sent my lady bits in to a mega crazy fury. If there is a mild earthquake this evening it's not the earth, just my ovaries exploding. Sorry! #bitchplease |
| Thanks #wiseone Geez. You never think it will happen to you, until it happens to you. They said there was a club in left field. I hope the boys can close it out. I would sure like a win today. |
| Spanky, have fun in "sin city" and remember, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas unless it's really juicy or funny then you must share with the babes...just sayn'. #wiseone |
| @IDOW...so sorry to hear about your lay-off. I know this is easier said than done but try to stay positive. I truly feel your pain. #wiseone |

Anyone watching the Giants-Marlin game. GAWD, that Miami ballpark looks big and tacky . It's like playing at Disneyworld not a true ballpark. I love the intimacy of AT&T. |
Reply-to:You got me on that one cat, I have NO idea. #wiseone It's Belly Of The Whale by Burning Sensations. #catnip |

| I walked by the players parking lot on sunday and there was the infamous white RR...Im starting to think the white RR wasn't a gift after all. |
Reply-to:Just had to say this. . Were not all AUNTIES lol Im only 22 :) Being an "Auntie" on this forum has nothing to do with age. |
| I'm only 31 (lol) You're never too young to be an auntie. My cousin was literally an Aunt at the age of 2. If you've got his wellbeing at heart, you're an auntie! |
Reply-to:@GG... You Cant Take It With You. Loved it! Have you ever seen Harvey? One of my favorite Jimmy Stewart movies. |

You sure got that one right! "sinister" is the perfect word arrogant and unfriendly describes him to a tee. Reply-to: |

| @cat, here's one for you...very obscure, "And so it is, just like you said it would be, life goes easy on me, most of the time, and so it is" go for it! #wiseone |
| just a thought...but maybe he made this Bobble head isn't really Giants affiliated because he already has a giants bobble head. Maybe he wanted to give the fans something different. |
|
Ok Wiseone, here's one for you. It's kinda obscure so put on your thinking cap...Drive west on Sunset to the sea, turn that jungle music down, just until we're outta town....Go to it girl!!! #catnip |
| THE ENORMOUS ORANGE TROLL MAKES A CAMEO IN DARK SHADOWS!!!! I nearly died laughing! It's the same exact one that we use for good ole IT :D |
An interesting discussion is worth comment. I think that you should write more on this topic, it might not be a taboo subject but generally people are not enough to speak on such topics.
