PPS. How've the Yanks been doing lately?!
Anonymous (Sophomore) wrote on 2011-07-08T14:33:11
Hahah the date. Well I definitely had a first. We went up there and we decided to go to the movies during the day. So the movie theater there is in the mall and it was surprisingly huge. So we're watching the movie and a little over halfway through the power goes out! Apparently half the mall lost power because there was a thunderstorm going on and it was raining like crazy so they gave us vouchers to come back. Hahah we were pretty upset that we didn't know how it ended. Later that night me him and his roommate went for burritos then to Turning Stone Casino - my first time gambling at an actual casino. Didn't win haha but it was a lot of fun. It was a 24 hours well spent.  Hoping to spend time with him this weekend but it's been a crazy 8 days of baseball and work - 9 games in 8 days thanks to July 4th madness so I know he's exhausted. Alright I better get ready to go walking to burn off lunch and get ready for the race tonight. Oh! Did you end up checking back on Ragan's site? I went on to post a congrats thing and I saw your John Wayne post haha made me laugh as did your making it to the right bathroom comment ;) hahah have a good night and weekend and I'll talk to you soon! PS I just learned how to say goodbye yesterday - Ma-a-salama

Hello my favorite southern boy - I'm so glad to hear you got to go on your trip!! Man you guys saw a lot! It's too bad you missed the best state up north but I don't blame you for being sick of all that traveling! How many days were you guys up here? On an episode of a show I watch, they visited the Liberty Bell and two of the characters tried to lick it thinking it had never been done in history. I should have told you to do the same haha. Aww you're too sweet - a true gentleman. Speaking of burgers you're gonna be jealous when you hear where my brother and I went for lunch today...Haha so what else is new? Good weather still? We've been in upper 70s-low 80s which has been nice. Looks like it might rain here in a bit though. How exciting was that race Saturday?! Unfortunately I was working and was getting updates from a friend at work. Made it home for the last seven laps so I was able to see the win after almost having a heart attack haha. Not gonna lie I shed a tear when he crossed that finish line. Wouldn't that be something if he could make the chase this year? Wednesday I spent the afternoon watching the entire race on replay on SPEED and got excited all over again. And I hope you're right about one of our drivers winning next Sunday -speaking of which I still don't know where we'll be sitting. Hahah oh there's nothing wrong with 80's music! You're allowed to like whatever you want!!

PS - How did the date go?  Hah! Salam?  I should have known that.  Funny how the translator put it out in arabic writing.

Hey there NY lady.  I hope all is good on the northern end of the country.  Well, I am fresh back into town from the big city of Philadelphia.  It was a good trip.  Traveling, we drove through VA, DC, MD, DE, NJ, and PA. Also, we came close to hitting NY, because we were about an hour out, but were just about tired of traveling.  We got to see the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and all that, plus a lot of eating.  And, NO, I would buy YOU a hotdawg  or burger with onions if I made it there, simply because that is the way my dad raised me. Man, it is good to be back home though.  I’m talking 84deg and sunny.  I’m excited for you to get to go to Louden.  I hope one of our drivers has a big win.  It sucks to sit through a race and some dope wins.  The race last week – I did get to see a little of each and also watched the whole thing when I got back.  I really hated it for a lot of the drivers in the Nationwide race, but they gave the win to the right guy.  You are right, I bet the Stewart/ Vickers thing may continue on, but I was glad to see Stewart man up to it.  Yeah, how about that Gilliland?  He usually fares pretty well at the road tracks.   And David Ragan.  Man, that deal last time was unbelievable.  I hate to see a technicality like that cost someone like him the win. Naturally, all the racing talk is of Junior in Daytona blah blah blah.  I hope he blows on the first lap.  Haha.  I can’t say that I have heard of the band Maroon 5.  Ehh!  I know, I know, I’m out of touch. Actually, I do a lot of satellite radio and usually hit the 80’s stations the most.  What do you think about that?  Corny?  Haha.  Probably.  Sometimes I think I was born out of time = Born too late.  But it sounds like you guys had a good time though, and went to the right bathroom and everything.  Well, lets see how the practice finished up and pick a good car for the victory Saturday night.  By the way, John Wayne is on – “Rio Lobo”  Catch you later.

Anonymous (Sophomore) wrote on 2011-06-28T10:14:40
I'm extremely jealous of your Veteran status - I should check out the racing sites and get defending my guys haha maybe I'll meet a new friend! Just kidding you're the only one for me. That also just reminded me that your Gilliland had a great run this weekend! Good for him! Alright I better go get ready. New guy is coming to pick me up in like 15 minutes to spend the day with me =) Talk to you soon! Oh and nice try with the arabic haha hello would be pronouced salam.
Anonymous (Sophomore) wrote on 2011-06-28T10:11:02

Hey hey friend what's up? Not too much is new here. Yuck! 90 degree weather? Pretty sure I'd die. Also you're right - NY guys suck haha but thanks =) Not sure exactly where we're sitting yet for Louden. I think we get the tickets either soon in the mail or right before we get on the bus. I can't remember how it went last year but either way I'll let you know. If it's the day of the race I'll post on here with my brother's phone haha. That would be AMAZING if I got to talk to Matt!!! Keep your fingers crossed. The race this weekend was pretty interesting, especially the Stewart/ Vickers drama. Think it'll continue this weekend? I'm crossing my fingers Ragan will have another shot at the win to redeem (spelling?) himself after what happened last time. Yep, little brother and sister are now officially graduated. They're excited as hell haha. I really hope your Philly trip is gonna happen! If so you're probably there right now. Too bad you weren't coming to NY. I'd take you out for a hotdawg. Or maybe some burgers at Five Guys. And duh if you went you probably didn't watch the race then hah my bad. I had a good weekend myself - do you know the band Maroon 5? They were here Friday playing at our big gold tournament. My best friend came into town for the weekend to see it with me and it was amazing!! And of course we had to make a pit stop at the bar the next night haha. Not any crazy stories for you though =(

PS, I went to the free translation site to greet you in arabic, but I couldn't read the translation so I passed.  Also, remember when we spanished our way to this site way back when?  I keep forgetting to tell you, but that is where I was getting the taco lingo.

Hey NY, what’s up?  I just got back in from doing the lawn.  It is just another day of 90 degree weather and a 10:00 storm heading this way.  I am right with you though. It has been nice the past couple of days with low to mid 80’s.  Sorry to hear the Syracuse guy went sour.  From what I know of NY guys, they don’t know a good lady when they meet one.  On the other hand, one day he will figure things out and come knocking on your door (too late).  But hey, this new guy sounds like he really has a strong eye on you.  100 bucks for dinner? Yep. He means business.  Congratulations on the Loudon trip.  I think you will really enjoy it there.  But also, you know the rules.  Where are you sitting, so I can look for you.  Wouldn’t it be great to see you on TV talking to Matt? Hah! Also, your sister is 9th and your brother is the valedictorian?  Very impressive.  Very very impressive.  No comment on my graduation rank.  Haha. As far as racing – I really didn’t watch much of the race.  I slept through most of it, but I did wake up when the fan favorite hit the wall. I’m not sure, but I bet Mark Martin had to have body guards to get out of the track in one piece.  I have been doing some heckling on theses sites also and was a vet.  Not sure now.  That stuff works so strangely.  But for the race, Michigan and Pocono are not very exciting.  Oh, one more thing.  My gang and I are kicking around the Philly trip that got wiped out last year.  I hope it works out. If so, we leave later this week for a few days.  Well, speaking of dinner…………………. It’s time. Catch you later my friend.

Anonymous (Sophomore) wrote on 2011-06-16T18:50:47
This past weekend's race wasn't the best - Edwards's engine, Gordon's win, Jr's good finish. Also just kind of a boring race. Felt really bad for Hamlin though. He deserved that. I'll be missing both races this weekend thanks to work - it's a big week starting tomorrow. I'm trying to decide whether to just get updates the whole time for the cup race or hold off until the replay on SPEED on Wednesday. I guess you could say the intelligence runs in the family hah my sister is 9th and my brother is the valedictorian. I'll tell them you recommend TN for college haha and I think you're right - orange is a pretty good color for me! Alright I guess I should hit the road since I want to watch another episode of Dexter. One last question - I need an opinion: cut my hair (get front bangs but not obnoxious ugly ones) or leave it alone and keep the side bangs? Talk to ya soon! P.S. Smokey and the Bandit?
Anonymous (Sophomore) wrote on 2011-06-16T18:41:49
Hey TN how's it hanging? I sure hope you've gotten rid of that terrible weather down there - we finally have. It's been perfect - mid 70's and sunny for like a week straight. Good work out weather for me even though I'm still disgusting afterwards everyday hah. Well about Syracuse guy - I was pretty sad he never ended coming up to Oneonta for my birthday like he promised but I got over it. A few weeks ago I messaged his on facebook saying "since i'll probably never see you again congrats on graduation and good luck. wish you knew how much I liked/like you but it's been a fun 2 years." As of like 3 days ago I saw on facebook he is now in a relationship. That kind if hurt but what can ya do? I'm happy with this new kid right now so I'm not complaining. He really is a sweethear - he took me out to dinner Monday night and spent $100. Plus we went out to breakfast Tuesday morning which was another $20. We'll see what happens. Let's hope he does hook me up with the 17 =) Speaking of which I will officially be in attendance in Louden, New Hampshire on July 17th for some nascar racing! $218 bucks but I'll be there. My brother, a friend, and I are taking a bus trip there and have to leave from JC at 3 am. Ouch. But worth it I'm sure.

Hey NY, What’s up little lady?  Your Matt Kense story is the coolest story I have ever heard.  You know? You may end up in his pits someday.  You are getting connections, it seems. Also it is good to hear you have met a nice guy.  I was beginning to think there was no quality dudes in your part of the country.  But oh no, what happened to the Syracuse guy?  He has slipped out of the picture somehow.  Anyway, yeah, that race was good.  I was so pissed off, had the remote in hand, and flipped nascar off for not throwing a caution, and then Junior slowed. I got excited to say the least.  I still say it was a desperate and dirty move by nascar, but glad it backfired. You are right about the number 6.  He is really improving constantly.  It looks like the Rousch cars have got the program together this year.  Now this past week, the race = almost the same scenario. Again, no fan of the blue duce, but…………..Hee Hah!!!!  With the storms, we haven’t had anything lately, but like you it has been HOT = mid 90’s and HUMID.  Wow, that is great about the scholarships and money and stuff.  You guys could all go to the U of TN.  Just sayin’ – Also, I bet you would look good in orange . Hah!  By the way, are your brother and sister as smart as my favorite Binghamton girl.  Is it hereditary?  Haha.  I better go.  Steaks are on the broiler and the uncensored original Smokey and the Bandit is on TV.  See you soon.  Go Mets!!!

Anonymous (Sophomore) wrote on 2011-06-02T22:33:12
He asked me who I like, I told him and he told me how he has a really big contract with Ford and has been involved with a lot of nascar activities like the fan zone and such. Here's the kicker - he's been drinking with Matt Kenseth! He's gonna try to hook me up with autographed stuff and maybe I'll get to meet him eventually haha but I think we're meant to be. I thought that was pretty crazy though - what are the chances? Haha anyways enough about me - glad to hear you didn't get the worst of the storms in your area. I can't imagine all the damage the VA parts have/had. Has it been nicer yet? We've had crazy heat waves but today was finally a not humid day. My brother and sister say thank you for the bday wishes hah no they turned 18 so they were excited about being able to legally buy lottery tickets. Their graduation party is this Sunday and they graduate in about 3 weeks, I can't believe it. They also had senior awards earlier tonight and each won a lot of money. That's my other good news - yesterday we found out all 3 of us won a scholarship through my dad's work for 7,000 per year of college so 14,000 for me and 28,000 total for them. Alright I'm really gonna stop talking about me now. Tell me what's new in your life! Oh for sure - Favre is coming back =) haha I wish but I sure do hope they get all the drama figured out because I don't know what we'll do without football season!! Well I better split, I made a promise to myself to practice Arabic everyday and I've got a half hour to get today's session in plus an EEG in the morning so have yourself a wonderful night, a great race weekend and catch ya soon!! =)
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on 2011-06-02T22:23:32
Hola TN how's it going? You can probably guess I'm one happy girl up here the way racing has been going and being away from those girls hah. I only made it home to see the last 100 laps of last weekend's race because of work but I'm glad I got to see that - wouldn't have wanted to miss the thrill of Jr running out of gas and losing! I was really hoping Ragan was gonna win it but hey, best career finish? I was excited as hell. Kenseth was so close too but of course the cautions/fueling didn't fall his way. I have something to say about Kenseth but hang tight. Harvick literally came out of nowhere to win it and while we don't like him it was better than Jr and great to see Busch wreck twice =) I love your Harvick to Busch and Mike Tyson to Harvick scenario too. As for work yes same job - working for the lovely Binghamton Mets. I don't sell the hotdawgs myself but I can hook you up with some so come visit!!! Plus I'll get you great deals on merchandise. Today was a morning game so little kids from nearby schools came for a field trip. It was nuts to say the least. Can't wait to do it again next Thursday. So work brings me back to my Kenseth thing. A few weeks ago I met this kid at work and we became fast friends. We've been seeing more of each other since I'm working more since I'm out of school and 2ish weeks ago we exchanged numbers and such and have been pretty flirty. So I have a new boy hahah imagine that. He's 23 and has a really good job at the stadium and elsewhere in marketing and sales. So last Sunday when I was working, I pulled out my phone to look for a race update from my friend and it came out that I was a nascar fan.

Hell you are still a rookie?  Look what happened to me.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on 2011-05-24T20:29:00

Hey NY, it’s good to hear from you.  Thanks so much for the well wishes.  It has been tough times but as time goes by, things get better and better. Wow, it’s good to hear that you got to drop the words on the old roommates. I hate I didn’t get to be there for it, And you got in the last F U?  Proud of you NY. But, didn’t they realize that my Bud has a BLACK BELT?  That would make for a short cat fight, eh? How about the job? Same as last year?  If so I have got to get a “hotdawg” out of you on the PA this year.  Or was that not part of your actual job, something different?  Anyway, you have got to do something about my Yanks. They are getting beat by everybody.  Congrats to Carl Edwards on the all star win.  I was thinking about you.  Hah, he tore his car all to crap didn’t he.  The Rousch cars really have it hooked up now it seems like.  You got it right on the weather.  We have had storms almost daily for a month.  The tornado was rough when it came through.  I was very concerned.  We had several trees and limbs blown down, some shingles, and a lot of hail damage.  Luckily, the more serious damage was north of here on the VA side.  There are a few houses on up the street about mile that have their siding full of baseball size holes from the hail.  Happy birthday to your brother and sister.  They are what, 17?  What do you think about football season?  Will it be cancelled?  Will Farve come back?  Here’s one last thing. A scenario.  Harvick punches Busch, then Mike Tyson beats the chit out of Harvick.  Hmmm, that’s the best I could think of.  How do you like it?  Okay NY,  it looks like the roast beef and taters are ready and so am I, so hope to talk to you soon.

PPS - HOW THE HELL AM I STILL A ROOKIE AND YOU AREN'T?!?!
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on 2011-05-20T18:47:26
Oh man I forgot all about the tornados being down your way! Wow that was crazy - did your house get hit bad? How's the weather been lately? We've had rain for like the past 2 weeks straight. Hopefully it's nice Sunday though because I have to work at the stadium haha. Oh back to racing for a second - thanks on the congrats to the 17! I was incredibly happy of course - when he took the two tires I was so nervous and thought the 4 tire guys were gonna pull through but it all worked out for the best! Except for Ragan hitting the pit road wall. It's ridiculous, he's been having amazing cars and keeps getting screwed. I think he'll get his first win this season though. He's on the pole for the showdown tomorrow and I've been voting like crazy the past few months to get him the fan vote and get him in the race haha. I hope I'm gonna be able to watch the race sat. night - my brother and sister decided a billion of their friends are coming over sat. night to hang out because it's their birthday sunday (and if you remember the deal with our cable company getting rid of the speed channel, our living room is the only tv with the special chip that lets us watch speed) Truck race tonight too - Buescher's looking strong so keep your fingers crossed. Alright back to finishing up my room I'll catch ya soon! PS wwhat new with you?!?!? =)
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on 2011-05-20T18:40:15
Hey TN how you holding up buddy? Hope things have settled down a bit and since you probably never read my last post before it disappeared you have definitely been in my thoughts and I'm so sorry <3 On the bright side - I'M DONE WITH THE ROOMMATES!!!!! Right before I left this past Monday I told off the girl that was in the same room with me and it felt amazing! I really got the last "f*ck you" in hahaha. I've been so busy with finals and now getting my room back at home put together along with work, I haven't seen a Yankee game in awhile! Have they picked it back up at all? As for racing you're right, Saturday's race was crazy! I definitely breathed a sigh of relief after seeing that Carl didn't cause it. Really scary wreck though. Ironically, the day before that race I gave a speech for one of my classes on how nascar is more than left hand turns and I showed the clip of Carl's dega crash. I loved the Busch/Harvick deal - as usual Busch is the ass that would spin someone else out like a sore loser (not that I care about Harvick at all) It really looked like Harvick got a solid punch in Kyle's face but loved when his car drove off hahah. I'm with you, wish they both got out and got physical!
Anonymous (Sophomore) wrote on 2011-05-16T16:20:21
P.S. Congratulations NY on the 17 coming through.  I just knew the tire deal was going to bite them in the keester, but they pulled it out.  It is always good to see anybody beat Hendrick.
Anonymous (Sophomore) wrote on 2011-05-15T09:03:40
How have you been?  What are we going to do about the slumping Yankees?  I would rather they lost 3 to  anybody than one game to boston. Anywho, Great race Saturday. Glad to see Carl win. He kind of P'd me off at first when I thought he crashed Logono, but I am really glad Joey just lost it. What is your take on the Harvick/Busch battle? Personally, I wish Busch would have jumped out of the car and gave him a big gut shot, then they could have beat the stuffing out of each other. I haven't chewed the fat with you in a while, we are getting ready to finish cleaning up outside where the tornado's came through a couple weeks ago in the big storms. Alabama got clobbered and we had a good bit of damage, hail, trees limbs, car and home damage. Pretty exciting. Speaking of which, breakfast is calling.  Also, the race is early today - we have to work that in.
Anonymous (Sophomore) wrote on 2011-05-15T08:40:28
Hmm, not sure whats going on but if anything happens we could back up to previous JW battle sites.  Look at these crazy dates.  2009?
