Reply-to:Lets be fair to this guy. Ok so his personal life is his, although this is his gf site. Ive seen the guy with his girl and they seem pretty happy. The guy seems like a cool guy. He is in shape and yeah I get it why girls would like him. However, no all girls are after him. He is not Arod nor he is brad Pitt, lets be clear on that. Besides, the women that are looking for an athlete most likely they are looking for money and I hate to break it to you, but there aint money in minor leagues at most these guys make 10 grand for the season. I know so because Im in the industry. They do bust their a$$ playing but unfortunately they pay off aint glorious. Most of these guys live with host families and eat cheap food or whatever the stadium provides. They are all trying to get back but as a player once you hit independent you most likely done. And I hate to say it bc I like Alvin but his changes of making it back are limited. Is he a good player? Yeah he is but there are too many good players out there young kids competing for the spots and lets face it the business is the way it is. The younger the player te better because they feel that they can mold them. Alvin had his time and he had the time to prove himself unfortunately it didnt happen. I do hope it all works out and best of luck this season bro!

Alvin is not longer playing because of the reasons already said before. His time is done in baseball. He is getting old and his time is up. I've heard that the business is not longer interested in him and his chances are close to zero. With that I don't say he isn't a good player because he is but his time is done.

Well that's a good thing at least he's retired in a good way instead of trying to go play to worse leagues or for oversea's leagues, which always make the players look desperate and does not help them to come back to American teams. I'm sure he's made his money and he should be comfortable now. He had a decent career and he retired at a good age with good numbers.

Alvin is a good guy and he loves his girlfriend so I find what you guys are saying disrespectful. I've seen him with his gf together in PA and NJ and they are cute and loving people. She loved him so and of course 3 yrs of her life with him was hard for her. I know them both and it makes me sick to see this stuff on here. But let me tell you guys the real facts! She started dating right away was because he was already in venezuela cheating on her with a couple of girls! And even long time before that, so a month after that was bull! Poor her she suffered a lot and let me tell you she was and maybe still in fact in love with him. She moved on because she had to not because she wanted to but she had to.she has talked nothing but good stuff about him and to those that say she's been with a lot of athlets is bull! Maybe ask the ones that wanted to be with her?! She's a great beautiful kind hearted girl. And she really had a amazing life with him. Like many relationships have their ups and downs, but at the end they both loved eachother. I use to love seeing them together at every game n see them kiss through the nets after games. they were soo into eachother, n the way she would travel with him. They were a such pretty couple. Leave them alone they were normal great ppl.

Yeah, I figured I would change the subject to good things about him ;) It would be nice if Alvin got to stay in the minor leagues (Riversharks, Barnstormers) but I would be so happy if he was signed to the majors!! There should be a limit to the things people say and no one has the right to criticize or talk about anyone in this manner. This is vicious and wrong! Alvin is an amazing person therefore, whoever was or is with him must have been or is an amazing person. We are only humans and there relationships that simply don't work or come to an end which is what happened with Gabby. However, they both moved on and are happy with their new lives. Alvin is doing great and he is happy. Gabby as someone said is married and has a family. And Barbie she's a nice girl who makes Alvin happy and brings the best out of him. Now let this people be and be happy to know that they are all doing well.
