Oh, one other thing.  Everyone comments on how nice and funny he is and he is both.  but please don't confuse nice with weak.  he has the strongest personality of anyone i know...not cocky or controlling, but definitely not a pushover and speaks his mind, in a kind way of course.

Tom is the funniest person alive, but don't be mistaken..  He is also one of the deepest persons I have ever been out with.  He is somenoe that you can talk to about anything.  very open. We no longer date, it's been 7 years, but i can truely say that he is the most genuine person I know and I still keep in touch with him.

Director tom logan is the nicest person i have ever met.  my son needed some medical attention in san francisco and for free tom flew him in his own plane up there for treatment.  No only that but brought along my sons favroite star from the show "friends."  (I was asked by tom to not mention to anyone who he brought.)  My son got so much enjoyment about talking about the show with this star on the flight all the way up.  Then he flew us all back to Los Angeles.

Tom is the man.

Worked with Tom as his assistant director yesterday in Minneapolis for these Target commercials.  This guy is so professional, so funny, and so easy-going.  Never met a director so nice to work with.  And, he got some fantastic shots with total cooperation from the crew and he never raised his voice even one time.  Love this shoot.

Hooray for this director. I am the assistant cameraman on this shoot that tom is directing in Atlanta.  He is the first director I've ever seen actually directing and talking to the actors.  He actually gives direction...and great direction at that. It's amazing how much better the performances are after tom talks to them for just a few minutes.  I'm so impressed with this director.

Director Logan gave the most incredible, unbelievable, fantastic, humorous 5 hour speech at the U. of Calgary that I have ever heard.  Then I worked on a set with him the next day and he is the funniest, most considerate, director I have ever worked for.  No one on the crew dislikes him...quite the contrary.  That is very rare for a director I might add.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on 2011-08-20T18:00:54

Tom is directing this major concert n Winnipeg.  He is the best DIRECTOR.  We all love this guy.  He has a crew of around 400 people and we all admire this guy so much.  There are some groupie girls that hang around him and are assistants, but he is very professional and concentrates on his work.  Hey Tom if you read this the "Winnie girls" would love to go out with you......funniest guy I've ever met.  SUSAN WARDLAW.

Last year I was dating Tom and I was dating another person.  He eventually got tired of me dating someone else and him so he told me that he doesn't "share."  I kind of blew that off so he then left me.  MAJOR MISTAKE on my part.  The other guy turned out 2 be a jerk and Tom is really nice, kind sweet, incredibly smart, and funny.  If U go out with him, don't let him go, any guy after him will pale in comparison because he is so much fun and loves adventures.  As the person before this stated, he is "gifted" in all areas, if U get my drift.

Hey Cindy, Saw ur director tom logan quote below. What's up. We're still in New York. Call me. Anyway, 4 everyone out there Tom is the greatest. He dated my roommate a few years ago. I agree with everyone on this site and can add one thing that no one has mentioned. He is NOT a push-over. Yes, the kindest man alive, but don't tkae that 4 weakness. He's NOT controlling by any stretch, but definitely not wishy-washy. He's so smart that if u lie to him he'll know and he might not let u know he knows, but he will know. When he is lied to he will lose interest. If u cheat on him u will lose him forever. My roomate lied to him on something that was pretty big and that's why they are no longer together. She regrets it and says he was the most fun time she has ever had when she was with him. She'd take him back in a heartbeat. We double dated sometimes and he was definitely the life of the party. He is extremely loyal and will expect you to be the same. In fact, he won't have it any other way. He is such a one on one type partner. He will only date someone who is not dating anyone else and he follows suit. Go for it.....great guy.

What a gentleman this guy is.  I'm the A.d. on this shoot for Coke that tom is directing.  There are so many beautiful women on the set and he hasn't made any plays (and he could have for sure)  so I agree with the person who wrote the note before this one about not a playboy most directors would have taken advantage of the situation. Like the person who wrote the other note, he is so respectful.  This is the first director that I have seen who doesn't try  to take advantage of  his power on a set.

tried 2 get him 2 go out with me on a set two weeks ago. I'm very attractive, 37, and have no problems with guys.I mean no problems at all.  he said no,  He is very picky who he dates.....extremely, and girls on the set really liked him, like me.  the point is, he isn't a playboy like all the other directors.  tom if U read this, it's Susan and we're not on a set now.  so if U change ur mind and want 2 go out, please call.  I do know his last girlfriend and she has nothing but the kindest things 2 say about u, tom.  she says eventhough girls like you on sets, you are a "one-person" dater.  i really respect that.  we'd haev fun.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on 2011-07-26T11:48:06

dated Tom after his divorce.  Even then he didn't say anything negative about his ex.  he made jokes about it because he is so funny, but he never said a discouraging word.  that is a true testament to his values as a person.  he was extremely loyal the two years we dated.he is the only guy i have ever dated that i never once thought he would see someone else at the same time.....not in this dna.  i left the relationship to marry someone else.   HUGE< HUGE mistake.  tom is so loyal, so caring, so funny, and i have met  anyone that is as much fun as he is.  genuine person, so trustworthy.

I am the cinematographer on this shoot in Canada that tom logan is now directing.  He is the absolute best director I have ever worked with and I've shot 22 features and 21 episodes of tv shows up here in Canada.

he is so humorous and the crew and cast love him.  he gets the bset performances i've ever seen out of actors.  FANTASTIC HUMAN BEING.

As for the girlfriend part, I'm a woman and am imperssed that although quite a few women on this set have tried to get with him, he is very professional and doesn't fool around on sets.  i am so imperssed by this.

i am an on-set acting instructor and coach at Warner Bros. Studios for major stars on the top few shows that they produce.  the best acting class i have ever taken was given by tom logan in orlando when he was an on staff director at universal studios.  everything i now teach and coach about acting is from tom.  u will love his class and there is no one else who does it as well.  he is very informative, very funny, and very kind.  there is no one else i would recommend as highly as i do tom.   as others have said, it'll b the best 3 days u'll ever have spent.

I have a very touching personal story.  I was the wrangler for a coke commercial tom shot a few days ago.

At midnight, he noticed out of a hundred or so extras that one was missing in the very back of the shot.  He has a photographic memory.  He mentioned it to me and I explained that I replaced that extra because he had just gotten word that his grandmother was very sick in a hospital and he needed to get to San Francisco as soon as possible. Of course, no flights at midnight.

Twnety minutes later the shoot was over.  Tom walked over to the extra and said come with me I'll get you to SF.  He drove this total stranger down to Orange County Airport and flew the guy to SF in his private plane at 1:00am.  Landed in SF and got the guy a limo to the hospital.

Tom then flew back and arrived at OC at 6:0am and was on set to continue shooting by 7:00am.  He asked me not to tell anyone of the episode for privacy for the extra.  What a guy!  A director flies a total strange hundreds of miles away.  This extra was in tears.

It is my understanding that when the family tried to reimburse tom for his costs he absolutely refused.

I'm an executive at Universal and can say that Tom is the nicest person I have worked with in this business.  He also has a reputation at the studio as being able to geta  performance out of a stone.  I've seen him take relatives of execs here that couldn't act and turn their performances into something that is truly wonderful.

Treats everyone from crew to extras to actors and execs with the utmost respect.  Everyone loves working with this guy.

Tom , or Thomas as he is known in his hometown, is and has always been EXACTLY as he is described here. If he does something, he will do it to the fullest and with EXTREME enthusiasm. He wanted to be in TV when he was 6 or 7 years old.  Have known him for 50 years ( I hope he is not trying to pull off being younger than 50!).

Tom is in Nashville right now directing some music videos for me.   I produce music vidoes for the top three female country singer artists in America.  He has been directing them for these stars for over 10 years.  Best director in the business. He's a star director to country stars for their videos here in Nashville.

I can only say this about his dating life. I know most of the women he has dated and I can say this.  It is a true barometer of how good a person is when their ex's, including an ex-wife, say terrrific things about them.  These are people he longer dates who say he is such a smart, fun, kind person.  How many of your ex's would say such nice things about you?  It's very rare, but so is this great guy.  I can't say enough great things about his directing and how he conducts himself around beautiful women while on sets.  He doesn't date anyone on his sets, when I personally know that he has had many opportunties with some beautiful women.  So trustworthy is this guy.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on 2011-02-17T16:46:01

I dated Tom for three years and agree with everything eveyone has said.  He is EXTREMELY PASSIONATE (in a good way) in all areas of life...directing/flyinig/adventures/romance and VERY AFFECTIONATE SEXUALLY.  Let's be blunt...he does nothing half-ass.

Tom has long relationships.  I don't know of any short ones.

He loves to give and needs "give" in return.  if he begins to feel like he is way ahead of you in passion or in giving he will eventually lose interest.  I don't  mean just a little more give on his part, but when it becomes that he's giving most of the giving, he will eventually leave that relationship.

I know becuse I was kind of selfish and not a giver.  That's why he broke up with me.  How do I know. He was very honest about that, as he is about everything.

I now miss all of the affection, but at the time I just didn't know how to respond to it. I've never had someone so compassionate before.  Advice...learn to love the attention..he's a giver and a damn good one.

Just want to agree with Becky that someone shouldn't mistaken kind, sweet, loving, sincere (and many other great adjectives) with wimpy.  ABSOLUTELY NOT...One of the strongest personalities (not controlling however) that I have ever met.  Definitely go out with him.  I have.....he's a blast...and not a typical guy. Very respectful.

I know something about Tom that VERY FEW people know. I'm an executive at Warner Brothers where Tom frequently directs.  We are both pilots.  He is a member of Angel Flight.  These are pilots who donate their time and airplane, at their own expense, and will fly people when they have medical emergencies and can't afford or don't have enough time to get to a hospital out of town or whatever. Tom has been awakened on more than a few occasions to fly these type of missions.  Now there's something no one on this blog knew because he is very quiet about it.  Great director, also!

As a producer of national commercials, I've worked with numerous directors.  Tom is the most competent director I've ever worked with and treats everyone fantastically.  Everyone at the ad agency always asks if Tom is directing that project and if so, then they all want on the project.  Smartest director in the business.  If you work with him, bring a dictionary!  Everyone loves this guy and his directing.

In 2010 I worked with Tom for 3 months on a project.  Warmest human being on any set I have worked on.  Most hysterical person on the planet.  Has a vocabulary that is incredible.  In fact, we kidded him about the big words he used, so he promised to give direction for that last month with only one syllable words for the rest of the shoot.  I don't know how, but he it and it kept us laughing the entire time.

Recently I was given the job of Tom's personal assistnat on a project at Universal Studios where I've been on staff for 10 years.  There were two things that blew me away.

1)  I was amazed at how many major stars would come up to him and thank him for being such a major player in their successes.  Many said they they would not be where they were had it not been for Tom. I've never seen anything like it.

Secondly, every day he would insist on having lunch with the extras and eating the same food they did.  NO OTHER DIRECTOR DOES THAT.  In fact, even when we would need to have meetings during lunch, he would always insist that he eat with the extras and that we could have that meeting at a later time.

I don't know about his dating habits but he was always in the company of gorgeous women in their dressig rooms discussing upcoming scenes, etc., and he never did anything disrespectful...Another trait that is different than most directors.  He would ask my opinions on things and didn't treat me like a servant.

He is well respected at the studio -- A solid DIRECTOR and solid human being.

Susan the female line person was talking to me tonight and told me about she has written something on this site.  So I thought I would share a very touching story.  I'm Anthony.

I use to wash planes at John Wayne airport.  Tom always took time to visit with me even when I knew he was leaving on his plane in a hurry.  One time I told him how much I loved the show Friends. and it would be my dream to meet one of them.

A year later he was flying his plane with one of the female stars of the show. For priavecy I don't want to mention her name but youd  know here. Before they took off, he brought her over to where Id wash and introduced us.  he acted like he had things to talk to me about but he really did not.  He was making up questions and things just so I could talk to my idol.  I cannot beleive that a year later he remember that and took the time to do that.  and he made me feel so important and acted like I was the most important person on the field.

Now comes the touching part.  Two years after that I had to go to the hospital for something that could have been life threaten.  turns out I was okay, but we did not know that at that time.

When he found out I was in the hospital he went up to LA and picked up that star and drove her back to Orange County to the hospital to see me.   I think that one of the reasons I recoeved was because .I was so touched by this.

So thats my contribution to anyone wanting to know about this guy.

I was the line-girl at the airport where Tom's plane is.  I pumped his fuel for a couple of years.  I was looking up his name because I have an aviation question for him and came across this site.

This is no dating information here, but I can say that he treated me with more respect than any other person at the entire airport.  One time he was with a few male pilots and I was pumping another pilot's fuel.  This other pilot was a real jerk to me.  Tom said, "Hold on a minute."  Tom took the guy over to the side and had a few words with him.  When the guy he talked to came back he apologized to me over and over again.  I don't know what Tom said to him, but whatever it was, it was very powerful apparently.

We are suppsed to call everyone Mr. or Mrs, or Ms. when they have a plane and we fuel.  Tom insisted that I call him Tom.  When I said I can't do that, he took the time to wrote a letter to my boss and requested that I be allowed to call him by his first name.  I was pretty impressed by that.

I judge someone this way:  By how they treat someone who can do nothing for them.  I can nothing for Tom and he still treated me with so much dignity and respect.  It's not impressive when you can do something for someone and they treat you nicely, but it is incredibly impressive when someone treats with this kind of respect and you can do nothing for them.

I know nothing about his dating situation, but wanted to put in my two cents.  Also, Tony, the guy who washes the planes said the same thing to me when I used to work at the airport.

Dated him for 5 years and then left him to marry someone else. leaving him was biggest mistake of my life.  I'm now divorced.  This is the most unique man I have ever dated and I mean that in a good way. Wish I could reconnect.  I've never met a more positive person in my life.  So full of fun and lives life to the fullest.  Loves airplanes, adventures, people, directing, and SEX...no problems there!  Different than other men in that he is not selfish in that department!!!

He is an incredibly gifted TV/fiilm director who is the nicest person I have ever worked with.  Solid guy.  He also teaches the best acting classes anywhere.

Hey, D.B. it's A.M. here.  Great scene we did together today.  lol.. I also tried to get Tom to go to dinner together and he, like you, politely declined.

Is he not the funniest man on this earth?  How can one director keep 400 crew members and actors laughing all day long.  What surprises me the most is that he never yells and is so calm and under extreme pressure.  I've never worked with this kind of director before.  He's the best I've ever worked with.

Anyway, who do you think Cinderella and this Castle thing is?  Could it be Susan, you know who?  Probably, lol.

Oh well, do we have the same taste in men or what?  Keep using the initials because if the rags get ahold of  this.....ut oh.  People Mag loves this kind of stuff.

Be sure to get the rewrites for scenes 212-215.

Tom is directing a tv showin Canada that I am acting in right now as I write this.  I'm in the public eye and am known to be somewhat attractive.  I tried to make a move on him and he very politely said, "I don't dip my pen  in the company ink."

I so respect that. I've never had a man turn me down before. He could take advantage of women being in his position, but he doesn't do that.  I'm so impresssed by this man.  He is not only a top-notch director, but a very kind and very up-front person.

Very talented director.  I was married to him and am now divorced, but he was the nicest, kindest, most loving human being I have ever been with.  Would take him back in  second.
